Biography

Gabriel Motta is a director & screenwriter from Brazil. Gabriel co-directed "Pastrana" (2023) with Melissa Brogni, the grand winner at the 56th Brasília Film Festival and at the 52nd Gramado Film Festival. The short was also awarded Best Latin short film at BAFICI – Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival. Additionally, “Pastrana” was the sole Brazilian film selected for the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, and won Best Film - New Horizons category at 25th São Paulo Kinoforum International Short Film Festival.

Gabriel is also know for his short-films “Budapest_v4_FINAL2″(Curta Cinema Rio de Janeiro Int'l Film Festival 2019, Bogoshorts 2019), “Two Men by the Sea” (San Francisco Frameline 2020, New York New Fest LGBTQI+ Film Festival 2021) and "The Embrace" (Fest - New directors, New films 2022, Lund Fantastic FF).
